The Hunza Valley is a mountainous valley located in the northern region of the Gilgit-Baltistan administered by Pakistan.
The valley stretches along theΒ Hunza RiverΒ and shares borders withΒ IshkomanΒ to the northwest,Β ShigarΒ to the southeast,Β Afghanistan’sΒ Wakhan CorridorΒ to the north, andΒ China’sΒ Xinjiang region to the northeast.Β The valley floor sits at an elevation of 2,438 meters (7,999 feet). Geographically, the Hunza Valley is divided into three parts: Upper Hunza (Gojal), Central Hunza, and Lower Hunza (Shinaki).
